FINALLY. A noteworthy thing to record in my blog. HAHA.
The release of results were today. Apparantly, the results weren’t released at exactly 12am. THANKFULLY, I chose to retire into my snuggly bed instead of sitting in front of the computer, counting the seconds off till the release of the results.
And no, it isn’t some like MAJOR examination, it was just the results for this semester. Not like O levels where I practically had nightmares every night leading up to the results release. And no A levels for me because I’m in a polytechnic.
So I was awakened by the excitement in my brothers voice at 8-ish (which is pretty darn early for me). He was telling his friends all about his results, blabbering away. And after that I SIMPLY COULDN’T GO BACK TO SLEEP. Thanks alot.
I crawled out of my safe haven and I tried to act calm by going through the daily rituals of brushing my teeth and everything else. But I was shivering like a nutcase inside. It was more of the excitement to see the results than the dread at what I might receive.
I happily logged into my computer and I COULDN’T GET INTO THE WEBSITE. Thanks to the ‘GY-NORMOUS’ bandwidth that my school’s website had, coupled with the billions of others frantically checking their results, I was left with sitting in front of my computer like an idiot.
EVENTUALLY (After forcing myself to read a 100 pages of Second Glance by Jodi Picoult), I managed to LOG IN!
And my results…
G.P.A 3.95!
I got a 4.0 last semester but this time I got a B+ for organic chemistry (always hated you evil thing). I’d probably be hacked to a million pieces if I said I wish with all my guts and organs that I got an A for organic chemistry and would gladly trade my distinction in german for that lovely A. Buttttttt… nahhhhh.
I think the results worked out the way it was meant to, with God’s blessings and all. I think its reallyyyyy emotionally straining to get 4.0 and keep wanting to maintain it and everyone else expecting you to maintain it. Maybe its better this way. Puts me on a more even platform with others and less judging and hopefully less people wishing I’d fail every single day of their miserable lives (fingers crossed about this).
Ok, I think I’m entirely blabbering my way through and I shan’t bore you with my train of thought (which is an extremely long and boring train that not many people would be willing to board). ANYWAYYY, I would like to share with you two versions of the same song. Sung in American Idol by Jamar Rogers and Ju’Not Joyner.
Yes…. its HEY THERE DELILAH.
This is the original version by Plain White T’s which I simply loved when I heard it the first time…

The following 2 versions were all done by American Idol Season 8 contestants!
This is the rather short version sung by Jamar Rogers…

I rather liked his version, like little cool twists in the songs. His take on the song is extremely special, don’t think anyone else would have thought to have done that song the way he did it. Totally different from the original version. I don’t understand why he wasn’t in the top 36. But thats that.
And this is the version that I LOVE BESTTTTTT …

I simply loveeeeee the extremely cool rendition of this song done by Ju’Not Joyner. Though he didn’t make it into the top 13 (LIKE WHAT?!?!?!?!?), but I still love <3 his take on this song. Definitely love it.
And though my music expertise is extremely low, (I like weird songs like I kissed a girl by Max Vernon which i think you all should listen to it too and I have 3 different versions of the song Alone by Heart, Celine Dion and Allision Iraheta) BUTTTT the comments in Youtube also leads me to believe that Ju’Not’s version must be reallyyyy good.
Just like everyone else, I have noooo idea why he
1) didn’t make it into the top 13
2) make it into the wildcard.
When I can think of a fewwww people that I totally don’t get whyyyy on heaven and earth did they make it into the wildcard.
Had he made it into the wildcard, I think he would have blown everyone away with another song. I mean I liked his audition song (The blues by Elton John) and every little snippet of him singing whatever little song.
I’m rambling like an old lady again aren’t I? HAHA.
Anyway, listen to both of the different renditions!! I believe you’d love them as much as I did. (:
